Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a therapy used to treat sensitivity and tightness in your tissues. The pain usually originates from a “trigger point”. “Trigger points” are typically a stabilization response in an area that lacks stability. So myofascial release will typically be followed with a series of stabilization exercises to prevent the “trigger points” from developing in the future.

People who experience chronic headaches may also find relief from myofascial release. Gently massaging on tightened muscles in and around the back of the head and neck may reduce headaches.
